The Power of The Holy Spirit To Overcome Temptation

FRESH BREAD FROM OUR LORD… You pray for healing and that is good for I have provided healing for my children. There is a truth concerning your body that you must know to walk in good health.  In Romans 8:11, “if the Spirit of Him raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you”.  The same power that raised Jesus is the same power dwelling in you and this power gives life to your earthly body. Versus 12 and 13 reveal the secret of life in your physical body. You must no longer live according to your fleshly desires but life will be imparted to your physical body by the quickening of the Holy Spirit. The power is in you but you must refrain from all the lust of the flesh. You should enjoy your provisions but to lust after them will weaken your physical body. Walking in the spirit will quicken your mortal bodies and give life to you as you walk and obey the Holy Spirit.

Wow! I saw this for the first time! We want God to heal our bodies but we want to lead our lives the way we want to.  I want to eat what I want to eat when I want to eat it.  I want to go where I want to go.  I want to do what I want to do.  All that time the spirit is quickening us and His Spirit which is anointed by your participation with him flows into your mortal body strengthening you.  But if we don’t obey Him and walk in our lusts what do we expect? To walk in the Spirit is designed for us.  At the same time, all kinds of enticements and temptations surround us.
They look pleasing to the eyes but they are death to our mortal bodies! Remember in the garden the fruit looked good to Eves eyes but it was death to eat it!!!!  When I am tempted to fill up on sugary treats, I’m slothful in my body and it hinders me from the purpose of serving God.  It puts my mind on worldly pleasures and I understand, be moderate in all things.
