Almost exactly two years ago I organised and performed a gig with (what was then a new band for me – ASK’D - at St. Barnabas Church, Alwoodley, Leeds to raise money for the Tearfund Syria Crisis Appeal. When the news of just how much Nepal had been affected by the devastating earthquake of 25th April 2015 it was obvious we had to respond, and with friends John & Val Watson at St. Barnabas Church and also Fabian Hamilton (MP for Leeds NE) having strong connections to Nepal, this time it feels personal. So we (John &Val, and myself - supported by many others) are holding a special evening at Far Moss Sports Ground, Moss Valley, Alwoodley, Leeds on 29th May 2015 (7:30pm start) with Nepali food (being cooked by local Nepalis who are friends of John & Val Watson) and music by myself (Keith White - www.reverbnation.com/rocktheproo f) and Sarah Wright (from ASK'D) and we hope up to date testimony and news on the relief efforts on the ground in Nepal. We'd love you to join us, share the evening, and help raise money that will really matter.
