Special People In Christ Encouraging Saints Outreach Ministries,Inc., aka S.P.I.C.E.S. is a non-profit organization located in the city of Dallas, Texas in one of the lowest income area's in Oak Cliff. I grew up in this part of town, went to elementary and highschool here, my my my how things have really changed.  but it does not appear to have changed for the better "I am sad to say" but to the contrary "for the worst".

It grieves my heart when I look around and see the desolation of  this neighborhood that use to flourish so, when I was a child. A lot of empty and abandon houses (some area's looks like a ghost town) but there are actually some people still living in these houses.  Drug Lords have taken over much of  the neighborhood with their drug infestation. You know what I mean supplying people with this stuff just to make a dime. It makes my heart hurt just to think about it.  What are the children to do, when it is so prominent around them? When they possible see members of their own family being a part of this cycle? Well, what are we to do? What can we do? Just continue to look the other way and hope and pray that oneday it will banish? No, that alone will not do it! How about we meet with the people and the leaders in our neighborhoods and try to come to some real solutions.  In Jesus Name!
